help of this chocolate-coated strawberry recipe right here, right now! Try this
over-indulgence once in a while.
Ingredients:
- 1 dozen fresh strawberries
- 1 cup high-quality chocolate, chopped (you can also use chocolate chips)
Directions:
- Prepare a baking sheet. Line the sides with aluminum foil ahead of time.
- Get your fresh strawberries and wash them until thoroughly clean. Pat them dry. Set aside to dry completely.
- Put your chopped chocolates into a medium-sized saucepan and turn over medium heat to melt. Stir constantly to avoid burning the chocolate. Keep blending and never leave the chocolate while on the stove. Once it starts melting, chocolate will get the consistency of a thick liquid. Remove from heat and cool for about 5 minutes.
- Gently prop a strawberry by the stem and dip ¾ of its body into the chocolate fondue, twirl the strawberry to cover every part of the fruit dipped.
- Put the chocolate-dipped strawberry into the prepared baking sheet. Do this with the remaining strawberries. Make enough space between each strawberry.
- Refrigerate the berries from 30 minutes to an hour at most to partially harden the chocolate coating. These candies taste perfect when eaten the same day as they’re made.
- Serve immediately and indulge!
